Membership Arrangements

Mersey Care will build a large and diverse membership made up of local people, service users, their carers, staff and partner organisations. Membership will reflect the individuals, communities and interests we serve.

Membership will be open to people aged 14 or over from the community Mersey Care serves.

Staff will automatically become members unless they choose not to be involved.

Becoming a member

Membership is free and means that:

• You will receive more information about Mersey Care’s services and plans, including regular newsletters and up-to-date information about the work it is doing
• You will be consulted on the future development of services and have more opportunities to offer your views and opinions on Mersey Care’s services
• You will be invited to events and meetings during the year, including to the Trust’s Annual General Meeting
• You will be eligible to vote in elections for the Membership Council, or stand for election yourself (please note you will need to be 16 years of age and over to be eligible for election).
• As a member of Mersey Care Members of the public will also be able to benefit from free membership at NHS discounts entitling them to discounts with many well know retail outlets.
