Research and innovation

How we support research and innovation

Mersey Care is committed to delivering and sustaining quality research and innovation which contributes to better services and health for people with mental health related problems, their carers or our staff. Research and innovation help turn good ideas or interesting theories into real benefits, attract income and are often the only way to develop better treatments and interventions.  Nearly all research projects and innovative ideas need the help of those people living with a particular health condition at some point to ensure they are effective.  We are proud of our record of involving service users and carers in our research and innovation projects and the contribution their lived experience brings to our work.

'I am really enjoying being part of an exciting and interesting project, as a service user, this concept is very personal and relevant to me and to be able to take part in such a project with great people is a real honour.'
