Who we are
Our Memory Assessment and Treatment Services support people with memory problems like dementia, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment. We provide the service across Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington.
Once someone has been diagnosed with a memory problem, we are also able to provide medicines to help people manage symptoms associated with memory problems, and can also arrange access to other local services that can help, such as home care or activity visits.
We support people of all ages with a diagnosis of dementia living in Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington, but most people we see are over the age of 65.
If you are a carer of someone with memory problems or dementia, we can also provide support and advice.
If you are worried about your memory, make an appointment to see your GP. He or she will be able to talk through your symptoms with you and rule out any other causes of your problems. If they think we can help, they will be able to make a referral for you to our service for an assessment.
