Mersey Care is commissioned to support people who are treated in secure services. Our expert clinicians and therapists are part of team who will provide recovery care for a range of complex mental health services.
Our site just off the M58 is a centre of excellence for secure care. Mental health care has been provided on this site for many years and with state of the art new facilities, we are leading in the creation of a new care pathway for people with forensic mental health and learning disability needs.

Proposed Low Secure Hospital
Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has been given the green light from Sefton Council’s Planning Committee to build a new 40-bed specialist hospital for people with learning disabilities at Maghull Health Park, Merseyside.
Please go to our engagement website, which provides video and artists’ impressions of what the low secure hospital may look like. There is an area for people to provide ideas and stories and Mersey Care want as many people as possible to complete a short survey about the plans.
