What is Chlamydia?

Chlamydia is an infection which can be passed on during vaginal, oral and anal sex. It is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the UK. It can seriously affect both men and women if left untreated.

One in ten sexually active young people in Liverpool test positive for chlamydia.

The only way to be sure that you dont have chlamydia is to get tested, because most men and women show no symptoms.

You or your partner could be infected and may not even know it.
