Community services receive NHS England visit

Our Community Care Division was visited by Hillary Garrett CBE, NHS England’s Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, and Sam Sherrington, Deputy Director of Community Nursing, earlier this month.

They visited Longmoor House, met patients and heard about how our service supports the system with rehabilitation. They also met our internationally recruited nurses and talked about their journey to Mersey Care, and different cultures.

The visit was part of Hillary’s leaving tour, as she leaves this month after more than 37 years in the NHS. They also spent time with Trish Bennett, Executive Director of Nursing and Deputy Chief Executive for Clinical Services and Jenny Hurst, our Deputy Director of Nursing, and a large group of community nurses, health visitors and allied health professionals.
