If you’re already getting help
If you’re already seeing a professional or receiving mental health support, it’s important to keep following their advice and attending your appointments. They can give you the best guidance for what you need.
Understanding your feelings and getting help
Your Mersey Care Mental Health Support Teams have developed resources and workbooks for common mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties for young people, families and education staff to use.
These workbooks may not be for you if you are already receiving support or have been experiencing mental health difficulties for some time.
If you are not sure what to do next, speak to someone you trust (parent, carer or teacher) your mental health support team in school or your GP. If you have hurt yourself or are thinking about it, urgent help is available by calling NHS111 and selecting the mental health option.

I have really enjoyed these sessions; I have learned alot about anxiety and got a better understanding of what it actually is and how it works or shows itself. The sessions have been really helpful, especially using praise and rewards. Also, the realistic discipline which I now realise I set unrealistic expectations. This has really helped my child progress, and we have conquered a lot of anxieties and will continue to.
Some of the techniques for overcoming anxiety have really helped. The circle of control and questions helped - along with the rewards. Thank you for all your help.
Thank you all so much, it has made a huge difference to our lives.
We have found this really helpful. It has been thought provoking and has allowed us to take a step back from everything and view things differently. It has enabled us to pause in the moment and think about our approach. The workbook has been useful and there is plenty for us to use.
