Before the move, Anthony was cared for in a much older hospital. He feels different here.

This place is a breath of fresh air. I’m lot happier. I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. Décor and ambience are so important and here, it feels so calm and serene.

Having space to call his own has made a huge impact on how he feels. He proudly shows off his ensuite room which he keeps immaculate and has made truly personal, decorating it with treasured photos and keepsakes.

Before, I was sharing a ward with five others. Now I have my own TV. I can have it as warm or cool in here as I like. If I want the light on, it’s not disturbing anybody. I love having the window open all day - none of this is possible on a ward. But here I feel in control of my environment.

Having a room that feels personal and safe means people can fully relax and sleep better.

Anthony said, “I can listen to my music and chill out, there’s a real sense of peace in this place.”
