Service available in:
Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service in St Helens is available for patients diagnosed with a long-term respiratory condition. Whilst the core evidence for pulmonary rehabilitation originates from patients with COPD there are many patients with other chronic respiratory disease who experience similar symptoms, are functionally limited and who would benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation.
This group includes but is not limited to COPD, Asthma, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and Bronchiectasis. If you have a patient who you feel would benefit from pulmonary rehab but are unsure if they are appropriate then please do not hesitate to contact the team for further advice.
Referrals to the service can be made by GPs, practice nurses or any other healthcare professional by completing the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service referral form and returning it to: mcn-tr
You can contact the team directly for advice by calling Tel: 01744 415560 or by sending an e-mail to mcn-tr
