Clinics aim to take advantage of the extra time provided by the summer holidays to reach children who have missed any routine immunisations, including HPV, teenage boosters, meningitis ACWY and MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) following concern about recent measles cases across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Volunteers transform garden at Willow House

A team of volunteers took part in a garden transformation day at Willow House to create a calming outdoor space for patients and their families accessing the specialist dementia diagnostic service.

The space, which benefited from support from Canon, as well as our Mersey Care garden volunteer team, also features a memorial garden for a beloved staff member who passed away last year, offering a space for quiet reflection. After a day of potting, planting and painting, the results were outstanding and the team was delighted.

Occupational Therapy Assistant, Joy Cropper, who’s been driving the project forward, enthused, “Everything I had in mind, they accomplished.
