Why the 0-19 services are transferring

In St Helens, 0-19 services are commissioned by St Helens Council. In early 2021, St Helens Council invited interested organisations to bid for the contract to deliver 0-19 services in St Helens. This is a process that is carried out every few years in line with national regulations. Following this process, the contract was awarded to Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
