SD69 Chaperone Policy
Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT) are committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of everyone is of paramount importance. and recognising that clinical consultations, examinations and investigations have the potential to cause some people distress.
This policy sets out guidance for the use of chaperones during procedures that should be in place for clinical consultations, clinical examinations, investigations and clinical interventions, particularly in relation to intimate procedures.
