Someone to speak up for you

counselling.jpeg

An advocate is someone who can both listen to you and speak for you, the patient or service user, in times of need. They can act as a spokesperson for you. An advocate is not part of the NHS.

The advocate will also help defend your rights and responsibilities and speak out for you and with you about things that matter to you.

They can go to meetings, write letters or reports and speak on your behalf. They will not give their personal opinion.

Please check the contact details as there are different advocacy services depending on which Mersey Care services you are with.
