The Lymphoedema Service provides treatment for patients with lymphoedema. Lymphoedema is a condition which affects the lymphatic system, the process by which we filter and drain waste fluid from our bodies. If this mechanism stops working, fluid accumulates in the tissues causing swelling known as lymphoedema.

The team works with other health and care professionals to provide a robust, effective, comprehensive, integrated service for specific needs of patients with lymphoedema.

The team will assess, provide care, advice, education, treatment and monitoring to patients with Lymphoedema and carers. They will also provide information, education and support to professionals on the management of patients with lymphoedema.
