Digital workbooks and webinars for parents, teachers and others who support children and young people
Our Mersey Care Mental Health Support Teams have developed a range of digital workbooks and webinars to help parents, carers, teachers and other trusted adults support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people.
The resources provide practical advice, evidence-based strategies and guidance on a range of common mental health and wellbeing topics. They are designed to help you recognise concerns early, start supportive conversations and build confidence in supporting a child or young person.
These resources are intended to support children and young people experiencing mild emotional wellbeing difficulties. They are not a replacement for specialist mental health support.
If you are concerned about a child or young person's mental health, speak to your school's Mental Health Support Team, GP or another appropriate healthcare professional. If there is an immediate risk to their safety or they have seriously harmed themselves, call NHS 111 and select the mental health option, or call 999 in an emergency.
I have really enjoyed these sessions; I have learned alot about anxiety and got a better understanding of what it actually is and how it works or shows itself. The sessions have been really helpful, especially using praise and rewards. Also, the realistic discipline which I now realise I set unrealistic expectations. This has really helped my child progress, and we have conquered a lot of anxieties and will continue to.
Some of the techniques for overcoming anxiety have really helped. The circle of control and questions helped - along with the rewards. Thank you for all your help.
Thank you all so much, it has made a huge difference to our lives.
We have found this really helpful. It has been thought provoking and has allowed us to take a step back from everything and view things differently. It has enabled us to pause in the moment and think about our approach. The workbook has been useful and there is plenty for us to use.
