Mersey Care has pledged its support for 'This is Liverpool', a city-wide campaign launched by the City Council to celebrate the city’s diversity, promote inclusion, and encourage people across Liverpool to stand together against racism.

The campaign coincides with the launch of Liverpool’s anti-racism strategy, led by the Liverpool Strategic Partnership, and supports  our commitments. This sets out a clear framework for action, accountability, and long-term change.

Trish Bennett, Mersey Care's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Mersey Care remains committed to to being an actively anti-racist organisation and continues to take meaningful steps to create a better place to work and receive treatment and care."

Shaped by extensive engagement with residents, community groups, and staff, the strategy reflects a shared determination to tackle racism and build a city where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

Mersey Care remains proud to be part of this collective effort, joining other organisations across the city to stand against racism, share our stories and highlight the values that make Liverpool a place of solidarity, fairness, and community, reflecting our ongoing commitment to inclusion and equality.

Further information about the campaign can be found on the City Council's website.
