New Liverpool Base for the Perinatal Team

The Liverpool and Sefton Perinatal Mental Health Team have been based in the Liverpool Women’s Hospital for the last eight years.

The demand for the service has seen the team increase from six staff to a team of more than fifty.

After speaking with staff, patients to review various options we have now have a new base in Wavertree Health Centre, 57 Prince Alfred Road, Liverpool L15 5BG.

Having this Liverpool clinic (in addition to our Sefton base) makes it easier for staff to meet with patients and families locally and provides extra clinic space for more appointments.

The Perinatal Mental Health Team provide mental health assessment and support for local women and birthing people experiencing mental health issues during this time.
